Beldt’s Aquarium & Pet Shop was originally formed in the early 1920’s by Otto Beldt, one of the early pioneers in the tropical fish/aquatic plant trade. As a noted expert in the growing and hybridization of fancy goldfish and water lilies, Otto built a reputation respected nationwide.

The current owner’s and purchaser’s of the company from Otto in the 1960’s have built upon that name recognition and reputation to expand the business extensively throughout the Midwest, as well as becoming a supplier to the St. Louis Zoo.

In addition to the best fish selection in the Midwest from Africa, South America, Pacific and the Carribean, Beldt’s Aquarium & Pet Shop also has an expanded reptile department for all your exotic pet needs.
